Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Who says guilt free and decadent need to be mutually exclusive?  This rich and creamy chocolate mousse will satisfy you’re urge for a scrumptious  dessert, while actually being good for you.

Ingredients:

  • 4 very ripe avocadoes
  • 50 grams (3 1/2 tbsps.) cocoa powder
  • 50 ml (just under 1/4 C.) water
  • 100 ml (just under 1/2 C.) maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth, and then spoon into dessert bowls.  Top with fresh fruit or a sprinkle of cinnamon.

    Diana, you’ve convinced me that avocado and mousse go hand in hand! I’m going to give it a go. Plus I really like the simplicity of this recipe.

    Great! I love the richness of avocado! Let me know how you like it, OK? I’m going to experiment with making chocolate pudding with cooked squash — it’s so sweet and has a beautiful texture. If it turns out, I’ll keep you posted.
