Local Chef featured on the Food Network

Thanks to the Nelson Post for this story about Jamie Hertz, head chef at Nelson’s Fusion Bistro, who has lived under the watchful gaze of TV cameras recording his every move for a solid month. His interactions with roommates he’d just met – the first he’s had in 13 years – and his responses to to culinary challenges thrown at him were up for inspection and critique. He was one of the 16 chefs taking part in the Food Network’s show Top Chef Canada, a cooking competition that pits chefs against each other in a series of tasks and challenges.
